A-Z Story
The farmer and the boy
A Farmer walked out of his house, carrying nails and a wooden board.
"Boy was this boring, no one will buy them....but I have to try."
Carefully he nailed the wooden board to the fence.
Dogs 4 sale
Stock:3
Eventually someone walked pass, it was a little boy.
"Finally," the farmer thought.
Gently limping towards the farmer, the boy greeted him with a big healthy smile.
"Hello, can I help you?" The farmer said.
"I'd like to buy a dog, mister." the boy replied.
"Jeez... these dogs come from mighty fine parents and cost a lot!"
Keen still on buying one, the little boy shuffled his pockets and took out a couple of coins.
Lowering his eyes, the farmer counted the coins,"A dollar, two dollars, two dollar twenty, two dollar fifty."
"Mister, is this enough for a look?"
"No, you can have a look for free!" The farmer smiled.
Opening the gate he let the boy in, the farmer put his fingers to his mouth and whistled.
Popping out of the dog house, three dogs bounded forword.
Queerly, a fourth dog limped after, desperately trying to catch up with the others.
Running towards the little boy, the three dogs yelped gleefully, but the boy ignored them.
Staring at the limping dog he said:"I would like that one, the fourth dog."
The former sighed,"You don't want that dog, it will never play and run with you like the other dogs."
Using his hands the boy pointed to his right leg.
Very closely the farmer looked at the boys right leg, due to his short sightedness it first occured to him that the boy was wearing leg braces.
"Well you see, my legs have been crooked from birth, the dog will need someone that understands." said the boy.
The farmer sped into deep thought, after a few seconds he looked up, "You really want the dog?"
"Yes, very much." the boy replied.
"You can have it for free, it needs a friend like you."
